In this post, I want to cover how this version of Mr. Burberry smells, how it projects, how long it lasts, and whether or not it is actually worth a try. There's never been any negative feedback from the Mr. Burberry series that they smell synthetic. I rather think that the expectations here are high because of the perfumer Francis K. and that's why he is rated worse than he is here.
Burberry smells clean, meaning this in the literal sense. It opens up with some subtle citrus grapefruit, which has an undertone of synthetics, blended with some warm creamy-minty-spicy tones that I speculate are cool cardamom combined with spicy tarragon. Unfortunately, Mr. Burberry is extremely bad. A clone of Kurkdjian’s Givenchy Gentlemen Only with a worse quality of everything. Maybe the worse designer scent that costs + I’ve smelled in years.

That isn’t to say that this cologne smells bad, it definitely doesn’t. Mr. Burberry is very clean and crisp and feels like a more dressed up type of fragrance, that can also be worn casually. The mint, cardamom and tarragon, is what really drives the best aspects of this cologne.
I have mr Burberry edp and Burberry London, and have samples of mr Burberry edt and Burberry indigo. Mr burb edp lasts the longest and smells better to me than the edt by an appreciable amount.
