I really cannot decide between a 44mm or 42mm case size. I'm not too concerned with the price difference or resale value. Panerai is still making plenty unabashedly oversized watches, with several coming in at 44 to 47 mm (and wearing even larger thanks to their cushion case shape and frequent use of large crown protectors). This kind of watchmaking is, if you’ll pardon the cliche, a part of Panerai's watchmaking DNA. I’ve had a 44 luminor and 45 Radiomir which I thought was pushing the upper end that my wrist could handle. However, there are a number of 47mm that I like but have shied away from because of size. This post has encouraged me to at least try one.
