It seems like the Chrono reset pusher is sticking out farther than the start stop . You need a special tool to replace the part that is screwed into the case. .
I can pull out the top pusher the last 1mm with my fingers into the fully out .

It seems like the Chrono reset pusher is sticking out farther than the start stop one. It’s very slight, and the chronograph works just fine. Is this something I should go out of my way to fix immediately, or should I just stop by the omega boutique in NY next time I’m in the area? The only reason why it was noticed was because one of the pushers looked like it . Take the watch to a reputable watchmaker (forget about the Omega boutiques) and ask them to take off the back, get a photo and post it here and while you're at it ask them to de-magnatise the watch (at 45secs it could just be that) and put the pusher back.
The top start/stop pusher feels a bit sticky. It still goes in and out correctly it just feels spongy. Is it worth getting that repaired or is it a sign that the watch is due for a service?

The only way a typical Speedmaster pusher can come off is if the screw backs out, because you cannot rotate the cap. This is an assembled pusher - you can see that the cap and the tube have splines, so when this is installed on the watch, the cap cannot turn. The following is a serious query for other twin stick pilots out there. Or perhaps those experimenting with a gamepad. Does anyone else struggle with not having enough sticks to properly pilot every axis of their vehicles?
So from my experience, omega must not have torqued the screw down enough on my pusher and/or loctite was missing (I don’t know). But it was easily remedied and I have resumed using my Speedmaster. It might even be a common occasional issue to . This happened to my Speedmaster Mark II about nine months after it was purchased (new) from a gray market seller on Chrono24 with box, papers and a genuine Omega warrantee. I took the watch and pusher and the warrantee card to my local AD where I have purchased other Omegas.
I bought my Speedmaster automatic new sometime in the late 1980s or early 1990s. Can't remember exactly, but the serial # marks it as a 1991. Omega refers to the "caliber" and "reference number". I'm trying to ID those, mainly for repair. The caseback has 175 0032 AND 175 0033 marked on the inside.
