Never understood the hype with Daytonas, to me a very overpriced watch, most people just want them for flexing. Even back in the 90's, when I started to look for my first Rolex, I never considered a Daytona. It seems to be so many people’s grail, but I think it’s meh, actually ugly. Can someone explain why this is such a desired watch. It’s can’t all be the hype and the skyrocketing gray price.When I first got into watches a few years ago and was looking at the Rolex lineup I was really shocked to learn the price disparity and hyped value of the Daytona line. I was like “those are the ones people go nuts over?”
i’m on a couple “lists” for a Daytona (and realize that I will most likely never see one) but I tried on a BatGirl - admittedly I have little girl wrists as a large old man - and the fit was surprisingly incredible.
