So can anyone tell me the history of the Mercedes hands? I thought they were a Rolex thing but found a seamaster 200M with the exact same hands?I recently bought an Omega Seamaster 200m "Prebond" auto full size - an Omega Seamast. I have a 1992 Seamaster automatic 200M midsize. Cleaned/tuned last year. I had the nyc omega people retrofit it with the mercedes hour hand. comes with box and papers. any . If Rolex did “invent” the Mercedes hands, they obviously didn’t trademark them because they started being used in all kinds of dive watches in the 60s and 70s. I'm a seamaster addict, but never been attracted by PreBonds. Calling a watch by the name of the next generation means that it did't make history. And I don't like mercedes hands on an Omega. Anyway, I got offered a like-new big size auto 1111 caliber ref 368.1061 movement 49.544.XXX recently. Jb328. I recently bought an Omega Seamaster 200m "Prebond" auto full size - an Omega Seamaster with mercedes hands and integrated bracelet. It is an earlier version of the 200m, so was it common to have a lume pip that was this shape?
